Everest Base Camp Trek
The trekking experts from ‘Nexus Travel Tours’ have formulated 16-days trekking package that takes us through the adrenaline adventure into the vicinities of Mount Everest marked by the rocky terrains, glaciers, moraines, boulders and ridges.
At Nexus Travel Tours, the trekking trail commences with a flight to Tenzing- Hillary Airport at Lukla that is noted as the most dangerous airport in the world whence the trail stretches further through the bustling Namche Bazaar and proceed through villages of world famous Sherpas, passes along monasteries that heads to the vicinities of Sagarmatha National Park and advances further through Gokyo Valley to the Gokyo Village that bestows the epic vistas of Majestic Gokyo Ri Peak and the mesmerizing Gokyo Lake afterwards which it crosses the Cho La pass to wind up at the Everest Base Camp and eventually to the Kala Patthar which is more popular for its sunset view rather than its sunrise view.
Enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sagarmatha National Park renders shelter to many Himalayan Wildlife including Himalayan Thar and Snow leopard among others. Local myth places Everest to be the abode of Big Foot, Yeti also known as abominable snow man.

Day 01–Arrival in Kathmandu:
Our representatives from ‘Nexus Travel Tours’ will be there at the Airport, ready to greet you as soon as you land at the International Airport in Kathmandu. A pleasant drive through happening streets of Kathmandu will lead you to our hotel where you will be briefly explained about the itinerary package before you collapse at the comforting bed in our hotel room.
Day 02–Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding:
30 minute of scenic flight through the mountains will convey us to Tenzing- Hilary Airport at Lukla that is enlisted among the most dangerous airport in the world considering the location, altitude and topography. The thrilling trekking over the surreal terrains of Everest Region initiates from the airport whereby we will have a casual stroll for about 3hours to arrive at Phakding Village where we will be staying overnight.
Day 03–Trek to Namche Bazaar:
The trail continues along the Dudh Koshi River prior to clambering through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests to make it to Namche Bazaar, the hub of Everest Region which has taken prime position as Trading Post in between Tibet and Nepal since bygone days where salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items were bartered. We will stay overnight in a guesthouse at Namche.
Day 04– Rest day in Namche:
Acclimatizing is of prime importance to synchronize your body movements with the high altitude of Namche. Experts suggest having mild walk rather than remaining idle. We will have casual stroll through the busy market area of Namche. If you feel like exploring more, we can arrange a brief visit to Local Village around Namche that offers views of Everest and Lhotse among many other mountains.
Day 05–Trek to Dole:
Crossing the valleys along the rhododendron, juniper and coniferous grooves, we will walk past the meadows with lush green vegetation. Amusing ourselves with the views of yaks and sheep grazing on the green pasture field, we will make it to Dhole where we will be staying overnight.
Day 06–Trek to Machhermo:
Traversing the copse forests, we will notice the gradual rise in altitude as we climb up along the side of the valley to make it to Machhermo which is mythically associated as the home of abominable snowman, Yeti where we will be staying overnight.
Day 07–Trek to Gokyo:
Escalating uphill about 300 meters we will eventually enter the Gokyo Valley. Waddling across several glacier lakes, we will make an advance to the amazing Gokyo Valley where we will be staying overnight.
Day 08–Trek to Dragnak:
Trek to Dragnak that locates itself at almost the same altitude as Gokyo Chola Pass offers the easiest way to reach Cho La Pass that will motivate us to engage in this trek. Arriving at Dragnak, we will stay in a camp for the night.
Day 09–Trek to Dzongla via Cho La Pass:
It is going to be the most difficult part of trekking so far. So we will head towards the Cho La Pass early in the morning. Pursuing the slippery path through snow, we will conquer the Cho La Pass. Enjoying the mesmerizing views of surrounding landscapes including Everest and other mountains, we will descend to Dzongla where we will be staying overnight.
Day 10–Trek to Lobuche:
A brief trek pursuing the ridges and rocky trail will in the end lead us to Lobuche which marks the end of our trekking for the day.
Day 11- Trek to Gorak Shep:
Crossing the lateral moraines of Khumbu Glacier, we will escalate through Thangma Riju and Changri Glacier offering the first look of Kala Patthar to make it to Gorak Shep Lake.
Day 12– Trek to Kala Patthar via Everest Base Camp and back to Gorak Shep and Dingboche:
Treading along the Gorak Shep Lake, we will proceed through Indian Army Mountaineers’ Memorials to Everest Base Camp. Amusing ourselves in the astounding views of Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumo Ri Mountains, we will head towards Kalapatthar known better for its sunset view before returning back to Gorak Shep Lake, a short trek whence will lead us to Dingboche.
Day 13– Trek to Namche:
Passing through grooves of woods and cascading waterfalls will let us through several Sherpa settlements before winding up in Namche Bazaar where we will be staying in a hotel.
Day 14– Trek to Lukla:
About seven hours of trekking through the easy trekking trail will lead us to Lukla. We will be returning back to Kathmandu only tomorrow so this day we will prepare for our flight and stay in a hotel at Lukla.
Day 15– Fly back to Kathmandu:
30-minutes of picturesque flight above mountains will finally lead us to domestic airport in Kathmandu from where we will head towards our hotel. The free time can be utilized by visiting the freak streets of Thamel to buy the souvenirs. A dinner will be hosted in the evening to commemorate the successful trekking to Everest Base Camp.
Day 16– Farewell:
After last moment preparation, you will be conveyed to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu whence you will board a flight to your next destination. We were thrilled to welcome you and hope to see you soon again.
